Since she can remember Taylor has kept up with the latest make up and beauty trends. From a young age she has loved practicing make up tutorials on her friends and seeing their reactions when they would look in the mirror. Today she still loves making people feel their best by enhancing their natural beauty. Since she so passionate about this, she took what she loved, and she ran with it.

Taylor graduated from the Northern Michigan University esthetic program, has interned in different fields and has practiced what she loves on her client’s daily. She will continue to stay up on the latest trends and classes for you, because she is now part owner of Nirvana in Marquette. She has specialized in body waxing, facials, and eyelash extensions. She has mastered her techniques to provide her clients the service they are looking for.

A little more about what makes Taylor who she is. She was born and raised in the UP, and couldn’t be anymore proud of where her roots lie. When Taylor is not practicing esthetics she enjoys family time with her two little girls and hubby. She also enjoys hiking, biking, boating and being around family or friends.

Averie

Averie was born and raised in the U.P. with a thriving passion for the beauty industry. She loved doing her own makeup as well as her friends so they could feel the same beauty she felt. This passion continued to grow throughout high school as she became more knowledgeable of different products and skin types.

Not knowing that this interest could turn into a career, Averie followed her second interest and studied Pre-Vet for one year at Northern Michigan University with the intent on moving away to become a veterinary technician. She had given the Cosmetology program some thought, but ultimately decided hair and nails were not what interested her. Luckily, someone in the Cosmetology program enlightened her on the world of esthetics.

After a quick transfer into the Esthetician program, Averie quickly realized it was everything she was looking for. In this program Averie experienced true passion for what she wanted to do. After graduating from the Esthetics program at Northern Michigan University and achieving her license to practice Esthetics, Averie practiced facial treatments, brow waxing, and makeup applications. She has also taken a course to get herself Eyelash Extension certified and has apprenticed under Jayda, Sam & Taylor. Continuing education is extremely important to Averie, she loves taking courses to further her knowledge to better serve her guests. She plans to achieve more certifications and add new services in the future.

In addition to esthetics, Averie also loves spending time with family and friends. She enjoys fishing, boating and camping with her fiancé Trevor and their fur baby Blitz. Averie is so excited about the opportunity the Nirvana team is giving her to practice esthetics and she can’t wait to grow with them!

Samantha was born and raised in the small town of Centreville, located in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. Growing up her natural skills always resided in an innovative fashion, as she particularly loved expressing herself through anything she could create.

During and after high school, she participated in an Apprenticeship and Cosmetology school, where she gained experience in the beauty industry. It was in Cosmetology school where she first heard of Esthetics, and it immediately peaked her interest. Once she found out that Esthetics specializes in the specific services she was passionate about, it became a very clear career choice for her.

It was those exact circumstances that led her to attend Northern Michigan University’s Esthetic course, where she met Jayda and Taylor. Inevitably there was a bond between their personalities, and their same shared love for enhancing beauty.After becoming a Licensed Esthetician she fell in love with Marquette and the people she met, so she decided to call it home. She now lives here happily with her cats and two dogs. She enjoys going to community events, spending time with friends, and trying new things in her spare time. As for furthering her education Samantha plans on achieving more advanced certifications under her license in the near future, but for now keeps herself very busy with eyelash services, airbrush tans, and makeup applications.

She is very humbled to have had the opportunity to originate a tranquil environment alongside her two close friends that provides clients with rejuvenating and personalized services, for a memorable experience.

Chelsey

Chelsey is a licensed cosmetologist and has been obsessed with brow waxing for 3+ years and absolutely loves what she does! She started her career at the Benefit Brow Bar at Ulta Beauty in 2017 and discovered how important brow shaping is.

She is engaged to her best friend Eric Benkarski and has a fur baby named Niya Papaya who are the loves of her life! In her free time if she is not cooking or making an art project, she is either biking or finding a reason to be outdoors!

Self expression is her number one priority! She welcomes all of you to be yourselves, beautiful, just the way you are! To her a brow wax is not an add on, it is an important service. She takes her time and works with what she has. She feels very honored to be working with the girls here at Nirvana and is so excited for this new chapter in her life!

Born in Marquette MI, along with her my mom, dad, and two brothers. Jayda knew from a very young age that wanted to be in the beauty industry.

As a young girl she always did all of her friends makeup for school dances, and always helped the ones she loves feel beautiful!

Starting in middle school she struggled with oily and cystic acne skin. That began her research into esthetics. She quickly fell in love of an idea of becoming an owner of a unique and special brand that helped people feel confident, refreshed, and beautiful!

Later on, she decided to sign up for the esthetics program at NMU. Throughout school she searched for something that could set her apart from other places in the area. When she found eyelashes extensions, she knew this service would make for a new and exciting service for the Marquette Area.

During the duration of the esthetics program she apprenticed doing eyelash extensions. After graduation she took an additional course to specialize on this service. After doing lashes for 3+ years, she starting realizing that she needed more space to grow. Not only individually, but to be a part of a team of like minded people. Soon after the Nirvana brand was created!!

Not only is she passionate about making people feel beautiful. She also loves getting to know, and pamper the people in the community that she was raised in. Today, her and her husband reside in her hometown. She plans to expand and specialize on her service list at the new location!
